House Crowd Developments was formed in 2016 as the development arm of multi-award-winning peer-to-peer property lending platform, The House Crowd.

Since inception, we’ve delivered hundreds of new homes in prominent towns and villages across the north west, such as Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Sale, Frodsham, Marple, Oldham, Mossley, Northwich, Sandbach and Crewe.

Due to the unique way in which our developments are funded, our mission is to provide ‘houses for the people, funded by the people’. This philosophy drives us to ensure every home we craft fulfils some very specific objectives:

  • is the very highest quality in terms of design, finish and specification
  • is in an appealing and convenient location that will bring true quality of life to buyers
  • and is realistically priced and, therefore, affordable for many

TEAM

Frazer Fearnhead, CEO

Frazer is founder and CEO of The House Crowd Group of companies. A qualified solicitor and true entrepreneur, he began investing in London in the mid-90’s and worked for an investment consultancy helping clients invest in buy-to-let property. In 2005, he set up his own consultancy, ‘The Armchair Property Investor’, and sold the business two years later for £2.25M

Following the financial crisis in 2008, when Frazer saw banks seize assets from individuals, property investors, developers and many other businesses, he was motivated to create a better business model that enabled people to build their wealth in property without using the banks and without having to save deposits and take out mortgages.

He founded The House Crowd in 2011 and, at the time, it was the first property crowdfunding company in the world. Since launch, The House Crowd has helped clients successfully invest over £125 Million in UK property.

In 2016, Frazer founded House Crowd Developments to deliver high quality, well specified homes at sensible prices in places people want to live. By creating a housebuilder business, not only could the company develop saleable homes to increase the chances of a solid return for House Crowd investors, but it could provide a better quality of life and value for money for homebuyers who purchase a House Crowd Developments home.

Frazer takes an active role in all projects undertaken by House Crowd Developments and inspires the company’s mission to provide high quality, affordable ‘houses for the people, funded by the people’.

Justin Molloy, Development Director

Justin joined House Crowd Developments in 2017. His entrepreneurial background perfectly suits the pioneering spirit of The House Crowd Group of companies, and has equipped him with a solid understanding of the sales and marketing process, land acquisition and negotiation, and development finance, purchasing and compliance, customer service and team management. Justin also spent 12 months on a building site ‘getting his hands dirty’ to understand exactly what it takes to deliver a housing development from start to finish.

Justin leads all House Crowd Development projects, working closely with the company’s in-house construction team as well as external build contractors and professional partners to see a project through from inception to final handover.

He is also responsible for sourcing all of the company’s land opportunities to ensure a strong pipeline of development projects. He is interested in land suitable for development of ten or more dwellings in a sustainable north west location with or without planning permission and will honour land introductions in the usual way.

Rick Harris, Legal & Business Associate

Rick moved into the legal industry to develop his career as a residential conveyancer. After starting out as an admin assistant, he showed desire to learn and progressed to become a fee earner, working on everything from unregistered property, high end residential houses and high-rise apartments to new build developments and pretty much everything in between. He joined The House Crowd in 2018 and works across all businesses within the Group, managing the legal side of land acquisition, property sales and aftercare for House Crowd Developments.

Adam Whitworth, Property Development Associate
Adam works alongside Justin and the development team to deliver all residential projects as well as identify land for new sites. His background in marketing, business development and project management means he’s a skilled multi-tasker with a sharp eye for detail and he combines these qualities with a genuine passion for property.

Ken Latham, Employers Agent

Ken has been working with House Crowd Developments for the last three years through Edmond Shipway and is personally involved in every project from inception to completion to ensure successful outcomes for all concerned.

He joined Edmond Shipway over 20 years ago and is now an Owner and Director running the Manchester Office. The practice has wide ranging experience in all sectors with Ken and the Manchester Team specialises in all types of residential development.

Fraser Scott, Head of Sales

Fraser has over three decades of experience in the property industry and has worked across estate agency, financial services, international property and residential development. He was also a Director with the UK’s largest land and new homes agency, Countrywide.

At House Crowd Developments, Fraser advises on property market trends and evolving homebuyer requirements, and leads the company’s sales teams. He also assists House Crowd buyers with viewings, handovers and Help to Buy and mortgage applications.

Stewart Chance, Customer Liaison
Stewart is a seasoned property professional and has spent over thirty years helping homebuyers move home, first as a South Manchester based estate agent, and latterly as the first point of contact for customers of two luxury property development businesses. Stewart is on hand to help customers with their specification choices and to ensure a move goes smoothly both before and after the keys have been handed over.
Jackie Duffy, Consultant PR & Marketing
Jackie has over 20 years of experience in PR and Marketing for the residential property sector and works to introduce and educate the House Crowd Developments brand and development offering to homebuyers across the north west.

If you are interested in earning an attractive return and helping to build much needed houses here’s what we can offer:

Return: 10% p.a. investing in the construction of our developments.

Security:
Legal charge against the relevant land and property, however property values can fall. Your capital is at risk and returns may vary. While it is not possible to remove risks we attempt to mitigate them as best we can. All projects have full planning permission in place before we raise investment. Well established contractors on fixed price design and build contract are appointed. Penalties are payable if they go over the agreed schedule. Properties are priced conservatively to try and achieve a quick sale.
