Bank Chambers saw the sympathetic conversion of the upper floors of a characterful Grade II listed commercial building in the heart of Stockport Old Town into nine luxurious 1 and 2 bedroom apartments.

The building is located on Market Place, close to Produce Hall which has been converted into an artisan food hall similar to Altrincham’s Market Hall, Macclesfield’s The Picturedome and Manchester’s Mackie Mayor. On the ground floor is innovative co-working space ‘Profolk’.

Due to the unique nature of the building and the need to retain as many of its original listed features as possible, the apartments included unique elements, such as wooden beams, roof timbers or large picture windows.

Aimed at young professionals, the accommodation was designed to suit modern lifestyles and included an open plan kitchen/dining room and living room, large double bedrooms, and a modern bathroom with underfloor heating
